Nature, thoughts of nature, revelations of nature - all are encapsulated in the work of the artist shown in the exhibition at the Philip Slein Gallery, Cicely Carew and Eva Lundsager.  Both artists are in and of the Boston area although both have other roots; Lundsager lived in St. Louis for many years.

Although of different generations Carew and Lundsager share the common language of abstraction, process, and color, while responding to the world with varying degrees of recognizable content.  Each creates her own world by translating her inner self to her own reality through the application of media surfaces creating worlds new yet understandable to the viewer’s heart and soul.
